"Desert Gem V"

The paintings of Mission, Texas watercolorist Dee Tunseth reveal her preference for viewing the world close-up.  Even her landscapes display strong foregrounds that invite the viewer in for a closer look.

This former Alaskan's work began with inspiration from majestic mountains and snow-covered spruce, and has expanded to include the warmer palette of the Southwest, where she now lives.
